Sustainable Packaging

Aunt Millie’s has made a commitment to lead the industry to more sustainable packaging. We feel a responsibility to move toward sustainable initiatives and empower our customers to make environmentally friendly decisions. As of September 1, 2019, we removed the inner wrap from our Swirl breads — saving 1.8 million feet of plastic, or 7,410 pounds, per year. 

Moving forward, we plan to take steps to eliminate plastic where possible. We’re exploring new technologies for using bio-sourced and biodegradable plastics. Currently, our bread bags are made of #4 LDPE plastic, which is recyclable where facilities allow.
